Roco modular explores the relationship between two simple forms. A generous upholstered seat meets a softly contoured back, each distinctly expressed, together creating a balanced composition. Its character comes from this interplay: substantial yet visually light, structured yet inviting. The collection reflects the European heritage and design sensibilities shared by Oficio and Studio Pip.
Careful proportions and restrained detailing give Roco a presence that carries across individual pieces and expansive arrangements. Colour and texture introduce another dimension, drawing the forms together or highlighting their separation.
Straight, corner, concave and convex modules allow designers to compose seating around the architecture and the people who use it. Sweeping curves open towards conversation.
Longer runs establish rhythm through a lobby. Smaller groupings create moments of comfort within a shared interior. Made to order in Sydney, Roco combines precision-machined plywood frames with high-resilience commercial foam and individually hand-cut upholstery.
Experienced craftspeople assemble, sew and upholster each piece, giving equal attention to its internal construction and finished surface. A collection with a distinct identity and the freedom to take many forms.
